White Christmas 2009

For the first time in xxx years we have officially a white Christmas. In Swifterbant we had about 25cm snow so lots of trafic jams, temperatures below zero (-10 degrees) and driving very carefully.

The first Christmas day Nicole and I were in Meeden with here perents. It was here mothers birthday (54) and of course first Christmas day. In the morning the whole family was visiting for her mothers birthday and in the afternoon we played "Sjoelen". For diner we had "Gourmetten" and of course we played some old fashion dutch games like "Rummikub" and "Scrabble".

The secondchristmas day Nicole and I were in Oude Pekela with my parents. We played "Rummikub" all day and of course eat all day :). My mother prepared a very nice Christmas meal of 4 courses and we received lots of presents of both parents.

Pinpas Fraude in Swifterbant Bol Krediettank

Today Nicole and I where victim of a so called "Pinpas Skim". I had filled Nicole's car at Bol Kredietservice in Swifterbant satuerday afternoon and my bankaccount was empty on monday when I checked. Two transactions where made in Beverwijk at sunday 23:26h and 23:45h. Today I went to the police and my bank for making a report. So a new discussion rises, cash of card???? Think about it.....

5 December 2009 - "Sinterklaasavond"

This evening Nicole and I where asked by our lovely neighbours so celebrate "Sinterklaas" evening with them, so we are looking forward to a lovely evening. 5 December is "Sinterklaas" so every child will get lot's of presents if they had behave good and nice this past year.

Prison Break The Final Break

After watching the Prison Break Season 4 DVD, I missed the final episode. I had of course watched Season 4 on Fox so I knew that the end was......and finally they released the final 2 hours of the greatest serie all times: Prison Break The Final Break. This Is It

Yesterday Nicole and I went to the Michael Jackson Movie This Is It, one word: FANTASTIC. Really the King of Pop. This would be 50 amazing concerts of the King of Pop. We really enjoy the songs and of course his great performance. R.I.P. MJ!!!

2009.09.29 - London Day 3

The final day in London. After a cruise on the River Thames we went to see St. Paul's Cathedral and walked to Westminster Abbey. A very nice walk and the weather was good, lots of sunshine. We also took a walk besides the Thames. After that Nicole went shopping in Oxford street and of course like every women, she had to buy lots of clothes. We took the train back to Gatwick Airport, just a quick diner for fish and chips and fly back to Amsterdam. We almost missed our flight :) never do that again......but back at home sweet home Swifterbant at 23:00h and at work again on friday. Pictures will be posted soon.

2009.09.28 - London Day 2

Day 2 in London. After a good night sleep I wanted to take a shower at 07:30h but no warm water, so we had to take a shower in the public section of the hotel, BAH again. They promissed that we get an upgrade to a suite with private shower and toilet. I forgot to mention that yesterday evening we saw I fox in front of the hotel in the middle of London!!! After a traditional English breakfast we went to the Big Ben and the House of Parliament by metro. After that we saw the Changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace. In the afternoon we took a Hop On Hop Of Bus for sightseeing London, famous places like Piccadilly Circus, the Tower Bridge, London Tower, River Thames and lots more. So after a busy day we went to bed at 21:00h in our new room, that's much better.
