1st dive of 2009 with Kontiki Diving Club

Tuesday January 20th, our first dive in 2009. We were invited by Kontiki Diving Club in Zuidbroek to have a dive in the swimming pool of Van der Valk Hotel. See pictures of our dive below. We practiced some diving skills and underwater balancing. We had a total of rough an hour below the water and we really enjoyed it.

Tuesday January 20th 2008 - Historical Day for the whole world

Tuesday January 20th 2008: Inauguration of Barack H Obama the 44th President of the United States of America!!! This day will go into the history books as an historical day for the whole world. Barack H Obama is the first "black" president of America. I wish him all the best and hopefully this day will also help the current economic situation for 2009 and furtheron.

Tuesday 6th of January 2009 - Ice Skating Dronten

YES after a night of -16 Degrees and tonight in some places -20 Degrees (Yes in the Netherlands!!!) we finally had the change for the first time in eight years together to stand on the ice, this time in Dronten. This weekend we plan to go to the "Oostvaardersplassen" in Lelystad for ice skating.

Last post of 2008 - "Oudejaarsavond"

"Oudejaarsavond" the final last hours of 2008 are ticking away. Happy new year in the Eastern Pasific and a few ours to go here in Swifterbant. Hope you all have a wonderful "oudejaarsavond" and I will take some pictures at 24:00 o'clock. See you all in 2009!!!

Skating in the Netherlands

YES after a couple of very cold Dutch nights (about ten degrees below zero) we can finally skt ate in the beautiful nature of Swifterbant. I just picked up my old ice skatings at my parents and hopefully the ice is still perfect on friday. I had some time to take a few pictures and more will following in 2009!!!
