HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009

Last post of 2008 - "Oudejaarsavond"

"Oudejaarsavond" the final last hours of 2008 are ticking away. Happy new year in the Eastern Pasific and a few ours to go here in Swifterbant. Hope you all have a wonderful "oudejaarsavond" and I will take some pictures at 24:00 o'clock. See you all in 2009!!!

Skating in the Netherlands

YES after a couple of very cold Dutch nights (about ten degrees below zero) we can finally skt ate in the beautiful nature of Swifterbant. I just picked up my old ice skatings at my parents and hopefully the ice is still perfect on friday. I had some time to take a few pictures and more will following in 2009!!!

Weekendje Weg 27 & 28 December 2008

Last weekend Nicole and I went to Eindhoven and Tilburg. We stayed at Van der Valk Hotel Eindhoven, see pictures below. Saturday we first went shopping and in the evening we had diner at "De 4 Azen". Sunday we went to "De Nieuwe Thermen Tilburg" for the beauty arrangement "Yin & Yang". One word: RELAXED!!!

Second Christmas Day 2008

The second Christmas day we went to my parents. My brother was also free of work so the whole family was complete. In the afternoon we played "Rummikub" and in the evening we went "Gourmetten".

First Chirstmas Day 2008 & Birthday Trees

Thursday 25th of December 2008: as usual we celebrate the first Christmas day at Nicole her parents because it's here mothers birthday. At 05:00h in the morning we heard the local music band play Silent Night. We started the day we a Christmas breakfast and in the afternoon we did our yearly "sjoel" competition with the both grandma's. YES I finally won the game with a highscore of 109 points:). Of course we had to draw "lootjes" and as previous years I had Maurice (and mostly Eri). After that we enjoyed our Christmas dinner, see pictures below.

Christmas at home

After a very busy month we finally had some time to set up our Christmas tree on december 20th. As many other people we also have a "fake"tree but it looks really nice.
For the first time we bought each other some Christmas presents. I gave Nicole a new watch of "Fossil S+Ark" and I got a Nikons SB-600 external speelight for my digital SRL.
