15 Maart 2011 Mam werd 65 jaar en dus PENSIOEN :) De buurt had uiteraard een mooie "pop" in de tuin gezet en wij hebben mams verwend met een grote bos bloemen en een digitale camera om deze dag vast te leggen :). Het was een super gezellige dag en uiteraard zal ik de foto's hierop plaatsen.

Today was the first snowfall for the winter of 2010 and it's the 29th of November. The temperature is just below zero and of course with snow trafic jams :( 880 km today and it took me 4,5 hours to get from Delft to Amsterdam what a normal drive is of 1,5 hours. Of course I took the first snow pics so see below.

Afgelopen donderdag was het zo ver....11 november 2010 waren Nicole en ik 10 jaar bij elkaar. Hiervoor had ik een lunch bij de Librije in Zwolle geregeld. Wat Nicole niet wist is dat ik haar ten huwelijk ging vragen. Die maandag ervoor heb ik eerst mijn schoonvader om de hand van zijn dochter gevraagd en mijn ouders ook ingelicht. Daarna heb ik met Nicole haar werk geregeld dat ze de volgende ochtend later kon beginnen. Nicole had geen idee dat we bij de Librije in Zwolle gingen eten, zij was in de veronderstelling dat we gingen brunchen en naar de sauna. Toen we aankwamen bij de Librije, werd mijn auto snel weggebracht en de koffers naar binnen gebracht wat Nicole niet wist. Ondertussen heb ik alles met de Librije geregeld, eerst een 5 gangen lunch met daarna een rondleiding in de Librije Hotel wat het voormalige gevangenis in Zwolle was. De Vanille Suite werd in gereedheid gebracht, rozen, kaarsjes, bad etc. en de gehele crew van de Librije was op de hoogte. Na een heerlijke lunch van bijna 4 uur met overtreffelijke gerechten en heel veel heerlijke wijn, werder we rondgeleid in de Librije Hotel. Toen de butler zei: "nu we hier toch zijn, kan ik jullie ook wel even 1 van de 3 suites laten zien van dit hotel", liet hij ons binnen en gaf mij de sleutel. Nicole was helemaal onder de indruk van de Vanille Suite en toen ben ik op mijn knieen gegaan en heb ik Nicole ten huwelijk gevraagd. JAAAA!!!!:) en we hebben de rest van de dag romantisch doorgebracht in deze geweldige suite. 's Ochtends hebben we genoten van een super de luze Librije ontbijt. Al met al helemaal top en alle credit naar de service van de Librije.

Curacao 13th August till 28th of August 2010

Finally some time to update my blog so here we go, my last post was from Curacao so I will update the vacation in this post. It was really good to see Judith and Hessel and we also met their housemates Marcella and Jorge (Nicole named him "Gato" by mistake, so we just called him GATO!!:)). Their house was really big, 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large living and kitchen. The location was nearby Zanzibar were we swim and snorkel almost every day. We also visited of course the famous beach of Curacao, Mambo Beach. Furthermore of course the colored houses with the Dutch architecture along Willemstad's harbour. Nicole and I did also swim with dolfins at the Sea Acquarium Beach, that was a fantastic experience, what a feeling to swim with these animals. Judith filmed the hole sessions, so we have the memory on tape. If you want to go shopping you can go to the Riffort in Willemstad. Of course we went diving in Curacao but first I bought a Sealife DC1200 Elite in Willemstad for taking underwater pictures and movies. The underwater world in the Caribean is fantastic we saw seaturtles, barracuda's, water snakes and of course lot's of Nimo's :). I took lots of pictures and movies. I will try to put them on my blog. During our stay we did some trips like "Klein Curacao" with the Mermaid, full moonwalk and going to the top of the Christoffelberg. Is was a fantastic vacation and if I had the change I would go back in a minute. Movies and pictures will be posted soon.

Summer vacation 2010 Hans & Nicole 2 Curacao

Friday the 13th, finally vacation! After an 2 hour delay on Schiphol airport we finally board to Curacao. We left the Netherlands at 11.30h and landed at 16:20 on Hato Airport. The weather pfff warm 32 degrees and yes after waiting for an hour on our luggage: there they were Judith and Hessel, good to see them again. On all my vacations I ordered my first drink: Coca Cola wow that alway tast great. After that we went to there home, okay it is a very large home! 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large living with a fantastic view. Quickly unpacking our luggage and taking a shower. By the way Nicole loved Sasha and Alfa the 2 dogs :). At the end of the day we went for our first dinner Spagetti Bolognese :) and still no jet leg. We went to bed around 23.00h and woke up at 01.40 yes a new day???? 01.40h is 07.40h in the Netherlands :). So watching 2 episodes of Hero at 05.00h local time and let day 2 begin......

Last saturday Nicole and I went racing. We started in Hardewijk to Nunspeet, Epe, Vaassen, Elspeet and back to Hardewijk. It's about 65 km and it was lovely. Racing true the dunes with 30km per hour, nice :). Saturday the 26th of June Nicole and I will race the Vael Ouwe 2010 (100km), so training training and training the coming days.

Nicole's birthday 27 already

Due to an error, my last posts didn't publish on time, but here it is.
Nicole turned 27 years old already on 30 May. We want to celebrate her birthday outside but the weather was very bad so in house. Lot of family and friends were their and of course lots of presents for Nicole. I bought Nicole a racing bike (Trek 2.1) and we raced a lot (about 250 km already). I forgot to take pictures, sorry.

Nicole and I decided to go shopping on saturday the 8th of May to get our new bikes for our birthdays. Nicole bought the TREK 2.1 and I bought the Bulls Desert Falcon 2. Nicole's bike was ready yesterday and my bike will be ready tomorrow so finally we can train for next years Alpe D'Huez :).

My birthday in Tuscany Italy and of course just like the other days RAIN brrrr. It's a strange feeling to celebrate your birthday without cake, family and friends, but I received a lot of phonecalls, Tweets and messages so thanks a lot. What did I do... we decided to travel back home by the end of the day because it was raining again so after our last drive in through Tuscany and my last pasta meal we left around 18:00h to Swifterbant and we arrived saturday morning around 09.30h save back home :).

Tuscany Italy Part Two (01-05 till 08-05)

For the moment a short summary of our holiday in Tuscany Italy. More stories and pictures will follow asap.

After a great 1st day in Tuscany the next morning (2nd of May) was BRRRRR, RAIN RAIN RAIN RAIN RAIN. And to keep my story short we had the next 7 days mostly rain and a temperature of 6 till 10 degrees in general. So we did bike on our arrival day but we did not see the bike again :(. BUT we did see a lot of places in Tuscany like: Pisa, Florenze, Siena, Lucca, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Volterra and lots of places more. Of course we tasted the wines and cheese. I will post pictures asap with more stories.

Hans & Nicole to Tuscany Italy

Last week Nicole and I went on a short week holiday to Tuscany Italy. We decided to go by car because we want to travel and bike a lot. On Queens Day (April 30th) 2010 we started our journey at 07:00h from Swifterbant to Santomato Italy. We arrived around 16:00h for the Gotthard Road Tunnel in Switzerland and there we stood still about 3 till 4 hours due to trafic jams. Around 19:00h we passed finally the tunnel and off to Lake Como were we decided to stay for the night. Last year Nicole and I went to Lake Como from Milan so we already visited the place and YES my first SPAGETTI BOLOGNESE :). On the 1st of May we left Lake Como around 09:00h to go to our final destination SANTOMATO were we arrived around 13:00h. the weather was during the trip from cold (around 10 degrees) to 26 degrees in Toscane NICE:).
We stayed at Fattoria Di Casalbosco, one word FANTASTIC even better then on picture.
So these are the first 2 days of our holiday. More to come......

New laptop arrived

For my work I ordered a new laptop. I had a HP tx2650 tablet PC but my tablet was very unstable and the support of HP is BAD.
I ordered the new Dell Latitude E6400 x64 with 8GB internal memory with a docking station and 24" full HD high resolution screen, FANTASTIC.
I am waiting now for my new netbook the MSI Wind U160........

Perfect winter in the Netherlands

I must say we may not complain about winter 2009-2010. We had lots of snow and of course iceskating. The temperature in Swifterbant was 18.9 degrees below zero on night and about 30-40 cm snow. Really took some nice shots, so these will be updated soon.

Judith back in the Netherlands for one week

Judith was back in the Netherlands end of february, unfortunatellydue to the fact that here granny is very sick. We did had the change to see Judith and spent a day with here. We missed that time!!! In the evening we went to "Eindeloos"tapas bar in Emmeloord for diner, that was very nice. We hope to see Judith and Hessel back again in May and hopefully this summer we go to Curacao to visit Judith and Hessel.

2 weeks ago Nicole and I went for shopping to Rotterdam and we went for diner to Las Palmas (Herman den Blijker). I made a reservation that day but all the table were fully booked, so the only table left was at the kitchen. We had 7 delicious menu's of the chef and Nicole had also a wine arrangement. One word, fanastic, the food was very good and the service was excellent.

BUT the next day I was very ill and Nicole followed in the afternoon. After calling with the restaurant they told us that the "Noro Virus" was found in the toilets and that some people was also very ill that day, so that was not so pleasant.

Nicole is already into the Apple with here Macbook. I am very curious in the userinterface and of course touchscreen, so I will let you know. Today the temperature was -15,5 degrees below zero in Swifterbant. Lots of snow has fallen since Christmas and the Ice Skating is open since this week, so Winter in Swifterbant and the Netherlands. We have some serious problems parking my BMW because I have rear wheel drive and an automatic acceleration barge. Of course I took lots pof pictures so this will be posted soon. New snow record: 20cm in Swifterbant :) So wintersport vacation at home :)

White Christmas 2009

For the first time in xxx years we have officially a white Christmas. In Swifterbant we had about 25cm snow so lots of trafic jams, temperatures below zero (-10 degrees) and driving very carefully.

The first Christmas day Nicole and I were in Meeden with here perents. It was here mothers birthday (54) and of course first Christmas day. In the morning the whole family was visiting for her mothers birthday and in the afternoon we played "Sjoelen". For diner we had "Gourmetten" and of course we played some old fashion dutch games like "Rummikub" and "Scrabble".

The secondchristmas day Nicole and I were in Oude Pekela with my parents. We played "Rummikub" all day and of course eat all day :). My mother prepared a very nice Christmas meal of 4 courses and we received lots of presents of both parents.

Pinpas Fraude in Swifterbant Bol Krediettank

Today Nicole and I where victim of a so called "Pinpas Skim". I had filled Nicole's car at Bol Kredietservice in Swifterbant satuerday afternoon and my bankaccount was empty on monday when I checked. Two transactions where made in Beverwijk at sunday 23:26h and 23:45h. Today I went to the police and my bank for making a report. So a new discussion rises, cash of card???? Think about it.....

2009.09.29 - London Day 3

The final day in London. After a cruise on the River Thames we went to see St. Paul's Cathedral and walked to Westminster Abbey. A very nice walk and the weather was good, lots of sunshine. We also took a walk besides the Thames. After that Nicole went shopping in Oxford street and of course like every women, she had to buy lots of clothes. We took the train back to Gatwick Airport, just a quick diner for fish and chips and fly back to Amsterdam. We almost missed our flight :) never do that again......but back at home sweet home Swifterbant at 23:00h and at work again on friday. Pictures will be posted soon.

2009.09.28 - London Day 2

Day 2 in London. After a good night sleep I wanted to take a shower at 07:30h but no warm water, so we had to take a shower in the public section of the hotel, BAH again. They promissed that we get an upgrade to a suite with private shower and toilet. I forgot to mention that yesterday evening we saw I fox in front of the hotel in the middle of London!!! After a traditional English breakfast we went to the Big Ben and the House of Parliament by metro. After that we saw the Changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace. In the afternoon we took a Hop On Hop Of Bus for sightseeing London, famous places like Piccadilly Circus, the Tower Bridge, London Tower, River Thames and lots more. So after a busy day we went to bed at 21:00h in our new room, that's much better.

2009.09.27 - London Day 1

Tuesday the 27th of October 2009. Nicole and I went to London. I had to go to London to the Microsoft Dynamics Convergence 2009 at Novotel West London. We were flying with EasyJet from Schiphol to London Gatwick. Our flight had some delay and we landed at 09:00h at Gatwick. The Gatwick express took 30 minutes to London Victoria Station. After buying Nicole a Oyster Card for the metro we went to our Hotel Montana nearby Kings Cross St. Pancras Station. This area was familiar for me because I had worked there when I was at Atos Origin. The Hotel was TERRIBLE!!!, we had a tiny room with NO toilet BAH!!! but lucky we could change to a suite the next day. Nicole did work that day and I was attending the Convergence. I had 5 meetings with some partners and sponsors. At the end of the Convergence , it was a good day for business. More on the Convergence can be read on my CRM blog. Later that evening we went to Oxford Street for a fantastic dinner at a seafood restaurant and off to bed.

Last Minute City Trip to Milaan

Just booked a city trip to Milaan with Nicole. We are leaving tomorrow morning at 7 from Schiphol with a short stop at Zurich to Milaan. We are staying 4 days to visit of course the opera and cathedral and perhaps some shopping in the fashing city of Italy. Last month we bought a new car, a BMW 320TD Compact version with automat and BMW M-Pack. It's a car of November 2004 with 130.000km on the display. The car looks as new and it's full option, like an automat, cruise controll, air conditioning, full original BMW M-Pack with 17" wheels, body kit, BMW business radio, ipod connection, carbon inside, full sport chairs and lots more. We bought the car at Vakgarage Pekela. Check the garage pictures below. I will take more pictures soon.

Today again a really warm day, it's about 26 degrees now and no cloud in the sky. Just cleaning the terras and drying our diving stuff. "Pluisje" the rabbit is also enjoying the warm weather, he's playing around and laying in the shadow.

Yesterday Nicole and I went diving for our first time this year outside. The last dive was in the swimming pool in December 2008. First it was kind of new but after a minute of 10 we really enjoyed the water. We did a dive of 60 minutes with a maximum depth of 6 meters. The water was really great, 26 degrees and sunny. After our dive we went to Vinkeveen for a late lunch in the sun. Really a fantstic day. We were just in time at home for the bad weather.

Happy Birthday Nicole, she's turned 26 years already. Yesterday was family, today we celebrate with friends. The weather is lovely, so celebrating in the backyard. Pictures will be posted asap.
I bought Nicole a wireless laser all on one printer, the Samsung CLX-3175FW, a new mobile phone, the Samsung TouchWiz and some very nice "bling bling" of Fossil.

2009.04.27 - Day 4 at Vienna with Judith & Hessel

A shame, our last day in Vienna. We decided to take the last city tour to Schonbrunn Palace, very nice palace with a fantastic garden. We also visit the State Opera. I had seen the Opera in Milan, but this one is much larger and fantastic what a building. In the afternoon we went shopping, Nicole saw a bracelet, but the price was between 500 en 2500 euro's so a litle bit expensive. Of course Hessel and I had to have a Wiener snitzel, so we had ours at the airport.
We left Vienna at 18:25h with a stop at Frankfurt and landed at Schiphol airport at 22.15h.
FANTASTIC city!!!! we had a great time with Hessel and Judith. Up to our next holiday.

2009.04.26 - Day 3 at Vienna with Judith & Hessel

Our third day in Vienna. Just getting to know the metro lines and loving the city. They are a lot of exclusive shops in Vienna and what a cars, see my car post earlier. We also visit the Riesenrad in the Wiener Prater and took a boat on the Donau. Later that evening we decided to close this fantastic holiday with a nice diner at an Italian restaurant. Lovely food and of course a lot of Prosecco and Prosecco Orange. Check of the diner....... see picture.

2009.04.25 - Day 2 at Vienna with Judith & Hessel

After a very very veryy good night sleep we had breakfast at the hotel, this was great, lovely breakfast. The rooms are also very large. We had 2 rooms next to each other on the fourth floor. Pictures... of course :)
The next days we decided to take the city tour in Vienna. There are 3 tours, red, yellow and blue. We saw the old city center of Vienna and the Donau. Pictures of this day are also posted.

2009.04.24 - Day 1 at Vienna with Judith & Hessel

Friday 24th of April 2009, Nicole and I and our friends Judith & Hessel went to Vienna. Our flight details were as follow:
07:10 - 08:35 Amsterdam to Munchen;
09:25 -10:30 Munchen to Vienna.
So Judith and Hessel picked us up at 04:00h and we arrived at Schiphol Airport at 05:00h.
Just dropping the luggage because we already checkin on the internet. So far so good, BUT.......
Our plane was delayed for almost an hour so we were about to take off around 08:00h.
Note: Geert Wilders was arriving at the airport with heavy armed cars and just got in the plane next to us. Pictures of this will be posted.
Due to our delay we came to the check in at Munchen at 09:30 and they just closed the gate GRRR!!!!! so hoping that there was another flight available. It must be our lucky day because they booked us to Vienna at 11:00h. I must say that there were a lot of people at the check in desk due to a delayed flight so Lufthansa must be doing something wrong.......
The planes of Lufthansa were very nice to fly with so no comment on this. Because we had to wait for an hour we had a look at the airport of Munchen: VERY VERY VERY nice, pictures will be posted also.
Around 12:00h we arived finally in Vienna :)
Now we had to go to the hotel. We stayed at Hotel Allegro Wien, 5 minutes with the metro from the center of Vienna. After going with the airport bus, searching for the right metro/train we finally arrived at the hotel around 15:00 - 16:00h. Just taking a quick shower and off t0 the center. Of course we took the wrong direction of the metro, so we could not find the center immediately, but at the beginning of the evening the found it!!!!
So just walking to the shopping street and I must say, dammm what an exclusive cars and shops, but a very lovely city center. That evening we had dinner at an restaurant underground: Spare Ribs and a lot of ribs and they tasted great. After dinner back to the hotel and off to bed. Breakfast the second day at 07:30h!

END of Prison Break - Does Michael DIE?????

FOX has broadcasted on May 15 2009 the FINAL episode of Prison Break Season 4. Episode 22 will be the end, and I must say after just watching it: A SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As eveybody suspected, FOX will not continue with Episode 5. The the last episode, some old names will return like Agent Kellerman and Sucre. Of course everybody is wondering: will Michael Scofield die in the final season and episode??? I know the answer and............................
So check my download link in the earlier post and bear in mind that RTL5 has NOT yet been broadcasted these episodes.
Episode 23 and 24 will be broadcasted on FOX on May 24th.
On July 21 2009, the Blue Ray and DVD will be released in the US, and a couple of weeks later in Europe, so you have your collection complete.

In the night of 6 and 7 May, Judith and Hessel were in my backgard doing..... see below.

So when I woke up on May 7 2009, my 30 birthday, I was really surprised. Even my car was filled with balloons. In the evening my parents, Nicole here parents, the neighbours and Judith and Hessel were visiting..... I had a very very very nice evening. Again, thanks a lot for this.

As you all heared in the news, "Koninginnedag 2009" was ended early due to a attack on the Royal Family. The latest news is that there were 7 people killed and there are still some injured people in the hospital. We were in Utrecht, but it was very quiet. Later that day we went to Giethoorn. I must say It was not a normal day after hearing this terrible news.

I'm getting closer to the magic 30 age so my body is also getting older....
I realized that I can see a bit more with glasses, so I went to Pearle for an eye scan. My left eye is -2 and right -1 so they recommend to wear glasses during driving, watching tv and working so ALL DAY!!!. I will take a picture of my new look tomorrow and post is on my blog.

Tuesday January 20th, our first dive in 2009. We were invited by Kontiki Diving Club in Zuidbroek to have a dive in the swimming pool of Van der Valk Hotel. See pictures of our dive below. We practiced some diving skills and underwater balancing. We had a total of rough an hour below the water and we really enjoyed it.

YES after a night of -16 Degrees and tonight in some places -20 Degrees (Yes in the Netherlands!!!) we finally had the change for the first time in eight years together to stand on the ice, this time in Dronten. This weekend we plan to go to the "Oostvaardersplassen" in Lelystad for ice skating.
